My Idiosyncratic Family

I know, I know, and don’t worry, I didn’t know what Idiosyncratic was either! Truth is, dictionary.com says it a synonym for weird and unconventional. But this entry isn’t about a vocabulary class, it is about how bizarre my family is. To start out, I will just state that both sides of my family (my mom’s side and my dad’s side) are completely opposite to each other. My dad was born in the city and has very few brothers. While my mom was born in a town, has a farm and about a trillion brothers and sisters.
My dad, who was born in 1939, (yes he is 72) has been married 3 times. He studied in MIT in Boston, Massachusetts, and has worked hard for his whole life. He likes an active night life and is a big golf fan. On the other hand my mom, who was born in 1962 (she is 49) has been married only once, studied in Berlin, Germany, and his also into going it, but not at all into sports other than jogging. From those two individuals, I was born along with my two other older sisters. I am my mother’s only son while my dad has me and two other females. If you thought that age different between my parents was strange, wait for this.
Only my younger sister is 34 years old, and my older sister is 42 years old. Yes, unbelievable, too many old people in my life. Both of these sisters of mine can sometimes make my life miserable, or can also be very fun. And no, don’t let their age trick you, they can as a matter of fact both be older than 30 but inside they are probably less mature than a 16 year old teenager, only that they can handle themselves in public. Now comes the worst part. Worst then having to remember all the names of my billions of uncles and aunts from my mom’s side, are my two beloved nieces. My older sister has two daughters, 16 and 18 years old. They are quite the pain.
So there you go, that is my idiosyncratic, bizarre, weird and unconventional family.
